AFRICAN LUXURY YOGA SAFARI
SOUTH AFRICA & BOTSWANA
APRIL 5 - 14, 2020
CONNECT WITH YOURSELF, CONNECT WITH NATURE
Our Luxury Yoga Safari is uniquely designed for the healthy traveler. We mesh soulful Vinyasa yoga, nature meditations, luxury and spacious lodges in secluded locations, and African adventure. We invite you into a world of pristine nature, adventure and connection through walking and driving safaris, unique cultural experiences and an inner exploration of yoga and meditation.
SAFARI IN SOUTH AFRICA
Suspended between tree canopies and African earth, Sediba Private Lodge is an exclusive luxury 5-Star hideaway with magnificent views and charming details. On this retreat we will have exclusivity and privacy as we are treated to delectable and energizing cuisine, spa facilities, swimming pools, and hot-tubs in each suite, overlooking the savannah. Let us not forget those twice-daily private game drives in the Welgevonden Big 5 reserve where lion, leopard and rhino are known to roam!
SAFARI IN BOTSWANA
You are invited into an intimate world of nature, animals, and fascinating history on this unique walking and driving yoga safari. Our gem, Tuli Safari Lodge (famous for Africa’s largest elephant herds), is a complete retreat with its own pool, walking trails, and gardens. You haven’t seen the night sky until you have dined here under a canopy of a million stars, or sipped a sundowner on their famous ‘Stardeck’, overlooking rugged landscape of sandstone formations and baobabs.
FLOW OF THE DAY
Each day begins before dawn as we commune with the animals, birds, trees and plans, on a private jeep safari drive. We stop halfway for a warm cup of tea or coffee and a guided meditation with Nina, right in the heart of the African wilderness. We return to the verdant Tuli grounds for a leisurely brunch. Then there is free time to rest, swim in the pool, spot wildlife nearby, or stroll in the lodge grounds.
After a leisurely siesta, we convene for our afternoon soulful Vinyasa flow yoga session outdoors on the Tuli grounds. Our instructor, Nina Butler, helps students of all levels find their personal edge, whilst moving with lightness and grace. We take an elegant high tea, then set out for our evening private jeep safari. We stop at sunset to engage in an African tradition of toasting the moment when day bleeds into night.
The hours after sunset are for enjoying the profound relaxation that comes from living according to nature's cycle. We typically eat together al fresco under the glittering night sky. It is a calm time to share the experiences, insights, and joys of the day. After dinner, your time is your own. Curl up with a book in your spacious suite, run a delightful bath, or stargaze into the African night sky!
YOGA ON THIS RETREAT
Well-traveled nomad, Nina Butler, weaves breath, strength, flexibility and awareness into a moving meditation that accommodates beginners and advanced practitioners. While her practice is strong, her teaching is sensitive and heart-oriented, supporting students to move within their personal pace and rhythm. Nina also shares mindfulness practices, meditations, and soul-soothing yin sessions to cultivate the perfect balance on your retreat between uplifting flow, and introspective restoration.

If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers and hotels. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

IF WE CANCEL THE RETREAT
We have never had to cancel a retreat, however, if we do cancel a trip due too few participants, we will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid. We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that Exotic Yoga Retreats must cancel a yoga retreat due to weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund – it will be depending on receiving a refund from the venue / tour operator we work with. To cover these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase trip insurance. Depending on the type of Travel Insurance, it can protect you in case of:
you cancel your participation in the yoga retreat
the retreat is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster, or not enough participants to run the trip
medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured
